This pink downrigger came about when a rather embarrassed man called looking for someone to build his wife a very particular fishing rod. He said he had called around to different places looking for a pink downrigger as a gift to his wife, but no one carried any. Of course, we didn’t carry any in stock either, but our custom shop took the specs for the rod over the phone and began the process of building the rod of his wife’s dreams.
The rod is a fully customized 9’6″ downrigger. With a blank painted pink, pink wraps, silver collars, we added a sprinkling of sparkles, and the rod was born! When our customer saw the finished product he was all smiles and couldn’t wait to take his wife fishing with her new custom Fetha Styx rod.
