This info-graphic from BoaterExam.com explains how the mandatory boater exams are being phased in in Washington. Currently, any boater under 35 is required to have a Washington Boater Safety Education Card or boating license. By 2015, all boat operators over 12-years old will be required to meet the boater safety education requirement and hold a valid card.
