Glenn Hall, host of the popular “Hawg Quest” television show, will join us at the Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show on Friday and Saturday. Glenn will be around the Fetha Styx booth (#144) from about 11 am to 6 pm both days. Swing through and meet a northwest fishing celebrity while checking out the latest Fetha Styx fishing rods!

“Hawg Quest” airs 9:00 am Sunday mornings and 12:30 pm Wednesdays on FSN Northwest.

The Fetha Styx crew is holding down booth #144 at the PNW Sportsmen’s Show in the Portland Expo Center from February 9-13. We have all our lines of rods on display and for sale — from the Homewater series to the CCA series to the True Hero series, they’re all here in Portland with us. Not only do we have our rods, but also we have knowledgeable Fetha Styx representatives (including CEO Bill Boyce) on hand and eager to talk all things fishing and Fetha Styx! Come see the rods that Salmon and Steelhead Journal gave perfect marks here in Portland.

Actually the weather from a fisherman’s point of view has been excellent. For me and the boat, the catching has been good, to great and then . . . downright SLOW! I’ve been focusing my time on the Snohomish system of late, focusing on the summer kings, side drifting bait. The water has finally started to drop into shape. Get out there and get after ’em before the July 31st retention closure!

Just a few days ago I had the pleasure of fishing with Jean, Cyndi, and Cathy of Puget Sound Anglers along with Glenn and Taj while filming a Hawg Quest episode. Great company and good times to say the least :-) You will have to watch FSN channel 30 to see the results of our trip. I will say we had a blast!

Remember, it’s supposedly summertime . . . we have been catching fish on all methods from jet sled, to drift boat, to banking it. Try spinners, spoons, floats, plugs, and side drifting smaller baits for summer chrome in the form of steelhead and king salmon.

The summer run action is just beginning, give me a call if you want in on some of the ACTION!!
